Renowned fashion designer Vivienne Westwood has launched a range of china, translating her distinctive style from the wardrobe to the kitchen. Eccentric Westwood, 62, has teamed up with Coalport, perhaps the most prestigious British china makers, to create the range of tea ware. The combination of Coalport's heritage and Westwood's penchant for tartan designs means the result is quintessentially British. It is not Westwood's first foray into products other than clothing, and Westwood is said to be keen to keep up with consumers' desire to carry fashion over into all aspects of their lives, not just their wardrobes. The range of china includes some limited edition goods, and each piece was laboriously painted by hand. The china goes on sale from mid-September.
