A team from the New York Department of Health outside Public School 177 in Queens, N.Y., Tuesday, April 2, 2009. The city sent a medical team to the school to investigate reports of people with flu-like symptoms. City officials stressed that there are no confirmed cases of swine flu at the school. But people were complaining of flu symptoms and many students were out sick Tuesday. Health Department workers carried boxes of supplies used for nose and throat tests. New York has 28 confirmed cases of swine flu, and 17 probable cases. (Michael Appleton/The New York Times)
