Valerio said: "In early 2010 Kashmir had not been in the headlines for a while. It was a relatively tranquil time of its raucous history and I took the chance to add Srinagar to my North India destinations. I wanted to stay in the place known as ?Paradise on Earth" "The purpose of these photos is to show a different side of this wounded land. The Kashmir that does not come to mind when mentioned in the West. I came to Srinagar in peace, I looked for peace and I met peaceful people and the warmest hospitality. I witnessed a Kashmir that, indeed, deserved to be called a paradise"
