Aren't men supposed to mellow with age? In an impromptu moment of "cattiness" Bob Dylan extended his elderly talons over Rod Stewart's latest attempts at jazz music. Branding Stewart's "American Songbook" album series as "disappointing," the Like a Rolling Stone singer jibed at the integrity of Stewart's new songs. "I'm not going to knock anybody's right to make a living," Dylan told AARP magazine, which is aimed at readers over the age of 50 in the USA. "But you can always tell if somebody's heart and soul is into something, and I didn't think Rod was into it in that way." The digs from the American folk legend, 71, about the British Rock star, 70, were reported with shock in the US media. "Ouch, Bob!" wrote the New York Daily News, who described the meanness on their entertainment pages as: "The most unlikely moment of bitchiness we can remember."
