Sabina Akter said, “Workers drying coloured threads a vast open field. The use of sunlight to dry out the threads reduces production cost. Colourful threads are used for making women's wear, like saree, mens wear known as Lungi and Gamcha a form of popular local towel.”
“The threads take between 3 and 4 days to dry fully, depending on the weather. The workers pictured are paid between £1.50 and £2.20 per shift.”
