Images show four spotted owls cuddled up together on a branch, the owls are looking directly at the photographer with piercing yellow eyes, then one leaves and three remain at which point they seem to share a laugh about something before another leaves and just a couple remain to cuddle some more.
These images were captured by banker Nistar PS (53) from Dubai, UAE.
Nistar captured the cute cuddly owls at Bharatpur Bird Sanctuary, India on his Nikon z 9 with Nikkor Lens 800mm F/6.3.
“I visited Bharatpur Bird Sanctuary, a large park in India known for its diverse bird population. Among the lush foliage and bustling avian activity, I spotted various species like storks, cranes, ducks, and even caught glimpses of owls and raptors,” said Nistar.
“Despite the challenges posed by the dense vegetation, I managed to capture some remarkable shots.
“To capture the perfect moment, I patiently waited for opportunities to photograph multiple birds in one frame.
“This required precision and dedication, emphasising the importance of patience in wildlife photography.
“Achieving the desired shots filled me with immense satisfaction and pride.
“Capturing clear images amidst the dynamic environment of the sanctuary was a rewarding experience, underscoring the significance of perseverance in wildlife photography.
“My favourite image depicts four birds captured within a single frame. Such a composition is rare and highlights the culmination of effort and precision in my photography endeavour.
“It serves as a testament to the unique moments that can be immortalised through the lens.
