The activists from the group Extinction Rebellion blocked the entrance of the Adidas flagship store on Tauentzienstrasse to protest the sponsorship of the World Cup. A banner reading "#BoycottQatar2022" called on the public not to buy any products from the World Cup in Qatar, such as the official Adidas match ball, and not to watch the matches. With the World Cup in Qatar, massive fossil emissions, human rights violations, and the death of guest workers are accepted. Adidas is also responsible for this. The activists demanded that Adidas should put human rights before profit and end its selfish sponsorship of FIFA.
