One image shows the toad perched perfectly on the vibrant red toadstool. While another shows the detail on the body of the toad right into his iris. These adorable images were captured by Mark Deans, (35), a prison custody officer from Aberdeen Scotland. Mark used his Canon d6 with a 100mm Canon macro lens with a ring flash to take the photos in Fraser Castle Grounds, Aberdeenshire, Aberdeen. Mark knows how lucky he was to capture such a close up of the toad. “I was taking pictures of the red toadstools and a little toad jumped up onto the red toadstools while I was snapping away,” said Mark. “I was a couple of inches away. I was using a macro lens to take the pictures so I was close. “I came across toad and the red mushroom, or toadstools, in the Fraser Castle ground near the pond on my way to pick up my trail camera I have been looking for badgers and foxes “It is great to see a toad they are great to get pictures of and it's a beautiful woodland shot to get, I was lucky that day “It was exciting to get close to the toad. I have started doing more macro photography and I am looking for more frogs, toads and spiders to take pictures of. “My favourite is the image with the toad on the top, you can see the eye perfectly and it's all in focus, it is a perfect showcase of woodland life. “I love getting shots like this. I'm looking back through my camera on the way back to the car, when I’m out with my mum it's a game to see who has the shot of the day. “Over the last two years I have had a lot of great comments on my pictures on my Instagram and Facebook pages. I have a couple of groups using my images for their pages and a lot win weekly or monthly winners
