Pics shows: The bike carrying 10 people; A motorcycle shop owner is lucky not to lose his licence after he was filmed carrying nine of his employees on just one scooter in a ridiculous PR stunt. The unnamed boss, who was later arrested, said it was part of an advertising campaign to "show off the new scooter???s horsepower." And the native of Yufeng Township in Daying County, in south-western China???s Sichuan Province, got exactly what he had hoped for after he turned heads with the stunt. Images from the township show him riding the new scooter, while nine other men cling to the front, back and sides of the vehicle, holding a sign advertising their shop and the bike. While hilarious and definitely proving the scooter???s strength and sturdiness, the boss was detained the next day for a whole host of traffic offences. The 10-man scooter trick, like something out of a circus, had also caught the attention of the local police, who said he was guilty of overcrowding, riding a scooter without a number plate or insurance, as well as failing to give any of the passengers motorcycle helmets. When asked why he did it, the boss said: "I was trying to show off the new scooter???s horsepower." The authorities fined him 490 RMB (55 GBP) and docked two points from his licence.
