Pictured: Two bald eagles lock talons in a fierce battle above a coastal inlet. The ferocious birds of prey were tussling for dominance over the water, in which they compete for fish to eat. The dramatic action was caught by hobby photographer Rajiv Mongia in an inlet area off the Puget Sound near Seattle, on the western coast of the United States. The 50 year old said: "This scene took place in an area where the eagles would fight over plainfin midshipman fish in the sound.
