(NYT89) HOUSTON -- August 18, 2004 -- HOUSTON-AD-COLUMN -- Part of the marketing campaign is seen in the ttweak office in Houston on Wednesday, August 18, 2004. A guerilla-style Web-log-based offensive began this month to brand Houston. Using the slogan ''Houston. It's Worth It," the campaign relies on descriptions of urban afflictions and images of giant mosquitoes and cockroaches to convey a sense of how Houston is nevertheless beloved by many of its residents. Despite a wealth of enthusiastic comments, the campaign has also touched a nerve. (Michael Stravato/The New York Times)
