These elephants join trunks as they spar like wrestlers. The excitable young pair were spotted at the Ol Pejeta Conservancy in Kenya. Photographer Paul Meek, 47, said, “I saw two herds of elephants come together at a waterhole. Elephants get excited whenever they are near water so it is a great place to witness interactions between the herds and it provides an opportunity for the youngsters to play, learn, and test themselves.” “I spotted two young bulls who seemed excitable and a sparring session was agreed between them with the raising of their trunks, and battle commenced. There was gentle shoving, headbutting, lots of pushing and jostling as their trunks entwined and tusks clashed. The smaller bull seemed to get the upper hand on this occasion, landing some decent strikes which eventually led to the bigger bull running off to rejoin the herd.” Please byline: Paul Meek/Solent News © Paul Meek/Solent News & Photo Agency UK +44 (0) 2380 458800
