This osprey makes eye contact with a photographer as it heads towards the camera with a fish in its talons. The skilled fisher was spotted catching a ladyfish off the coast of Florida in the USA. Photographer Mark Smith said, “Ospreys often work themselves into feeding frenzies here - they migrate to this area in large numbers every year. They were taken in Florida during the fall. You mentioned this is an osprey, are they common to spot here? At certain times of the year they migrate to this area in large numbers. Can you describe what is happening in these images? An osprey is grabbing a ladyfish from the ocean. I can imagine it was a bit intimidating having the bird fly so close to you. Or were you shooting from a distance? It isn't intimidating at all. It is an amazing experience that never seems to get old.
