Przemysł wydobywczy w Mjanmie - Redux
One of the monks at the Myin Tin Monastery sits on his bed as children peer in the window. U San Di Mar was one of the victims of white phosphorus attacks in June 2012 which targetted people protesting the Letpadaung Copper Mine in Sagaing Region, Myanmar, and still suffers from scarring on his face and over his body. He claims that when the police were chasing them and igniting the white phosphorus, they were doing so with intent to kill. Monks and citizens were forced to strip their clothes from their bodies in hopes of putting out the flames that were burning their skin. (Lauren DeCicca for NRGI)
