Abdullah Habbot, 45, poses for a portrait at his library, founded by his family over 200 years ago, in Chinguetti, on March 16, 2023 where 1400 privately owned manuscripts are preserved. - In Chinguetti, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, there are 13 libraries with preserved documents of which 5 are open to the public. These libraries are all privately owned and have 6000 documents in total presently.
