Workers drop some tomatoes in an overflowing pile of tomatoes. Bogura, Bangladesh : WORKERS processing tens of thousands of pounds of carrots and tomatoes have been captured in a swell of their bright and captivating colours.?Images taken over a period of time have beautifully captured the rush of the oranges and reds, while workers sort the vegetables at Mahasthanhat wholesale vegetable market in Bogura in Bangladesh. One of the images shows two workers pouring a basket of tomatoes in an already large heap almost resembling a wave of tomatoes.Another image captures the workers standing and sorting in a sea of brightly coloured carrots. The carrots at this market are washed, sorted, and packed by the workers, and brokers purchase them in bulk from local farmers. Finally, the carrots are transported to the capital city of Dhaka. The cost of tomatoes at the market is considered expensive and typically ranges between 10-20 pence per two pounds. The market is open twice a week and attracts hundreds of visitors each weekThese images were captured by Abdul Momin(32) at Mahasthanhat wholesale vegetable market in Bogura, Bangladesh.“Tens of thousands of kilos of carrots are sorted and washed by workers, while farmers stand amidst the brightly colored vegetables and prepare them for market,” said Abdul.“Farmers stack up their freshly grown tomatoes to be sold. “Local farmers bring their produce from nearby farms to this market, where brokers purchase them in bulk. "Once the tomatoes are collected and sorted, they are transported to the capital city of Dhaka, which is quite a distance away.“To ensure that the tomatoes ripen during their travels, they are harvested a bit earlier, which is why some of them are still green.“The vibrant colours of the tomatoes and the carrots caught my attention, and they were a sight to behold.” mediadrumaimages/AbdulMomin
