At one point during the melee, the pair became entangled. CAMARGUE, FRANCE: THE EPIC moment two stunning stallions spar to determine who is the dominant male has been captured on camera. One dramatic photo showed both of the 1,000-pound Camargue horses facing off on their hind legs with neither willing to back down. In a second image, the pure white stallion bucked its back legs into the air, kicking the dappled grey horse square in the face. Photo tour leader Greg Harvey (50) from Edmonton in Alberta, Canada, took the incredible images whilst leading a photo tour in the Camargue region of southern France. Greg captured the photos on his Canon 1DX camera using a 100-400 Canon zoom lens from a distance of just 25 feet away. Camargue horses are born brown and turn light grey by the time they are four years old. Thought to be one of the oldest breeds of horse in the world, they have lived in the Camargue saline wetlands for thousands of years and are now used to round up black bulls in the area. mediadrumworld.com / Greg Harvey
