The bear snacked for several hours. KUKAK BAY, ALASKA: SEE THE moment a brown bear stumbled across a freshly washed up FIFTY-FOOT-LONG humpback whale carcass in Alaska - and ate so much it fell asleep. In one image, a 1,500-pound Alaskan brown bear climbed up onto the back of a 50-foot-long humpback whale carcass and began to tuck into the whale?s tasty blubber. In another, the full-up bear appeared to lick its paw as it lay on its back for a much needed after-dinner lie down before having a nap. The incredible sighting was captured by photographer Graham McGeorge from Dumfries, Scotland, who is now based in the USA. Graham was in Kukak Bay, Alaska, when he witnessed the feeding frenzy on July 16, 2021. Brown bears are omnivores although up to 80 per cent of their diet comes from plant-based sources such as tree bark, fruit, berries, and mushrooms. When they do eat meat, they typically hunt small animals like birds, fish, and rodents. mediadrumworld.com/Graham McGeorge
