Mouammar Kadhafi
Libyan President Muammar Gaddafi acknowledges a crowd that gathered outside the governor's office to greet him in Marsa Matruh, Egypt, about 400 km (250 miles) northwest of Cairo Friday, March 5, 1999. Gaddafi will meet Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak on the proposed hand-over of the Lockerbie bombing suspects for trial. Gaddafi has long refused to turn over the suspects, who have been indicted in Scotland and the United States, for the blowing up of an American airliner over the Scottish town of Lockerbie in 1988. The bombing killed 270 people, mainly Britons and Americans. (AP Photo/Enric Marti)
