The deputy mayor of Saracinesco, Paul Pomponi, donated the first lot of land dedicated to the cultivation of hemp, for the project of the phytotherapy bio-park. In the past centuries, the area has historically been a hemp growing land. Saracinesco is a small central Italian village of 182 inhabitants. It's 'the site of a pilot project for the cultivation of hemp both for industrial and therapeutic purposes. The project includes the creation of a phyto-therapeutic bio-park and a health resort to treat patients following a medically assisted cannabinoid-based therapy. The project is supported by the city council and by institutions such as the Roma Tre University and the University of Tuscia.
