The plot of land where the plants of cannabis were seeded in the presence of expert agronomists and the council of the Municipality of Saracinesco with the mayor Marco Orsola attending the event. This is a small lot part of a much wider area, located few steps away from the Aniene River. It's the site of the first Italian project for the cultivation of cannabis for medical purposes. Saracinesco is a small central Italian village of 182 inhabitants. It's 'the site of a pilot project for the cultivation of hemp both for industrial and therapeutic purposes. The project includes the creation of a phyto-therapeutic bio-park and a health resort to treat patients following a medically assisted cannabinoid-based therapy. The project is supported by the city council and by institutions such as the Roma Tre University and the University of Tuscia.
