11/3/2022 - Mali / Bamako District / Bamako - Fousseyni Kouyate, curator at the NGO SAVAMA-DCI (Sauvegarde et valorisation des manuscrits pour la defense de la culture islamique), in one of the archive rooms where some of the 300,000 manuscripts exfiltrated from Timbuktu during the jihadist occupation in 2012-2013 are kept. Today, almost all of these ancient documents have been digitised by the NGO.
