Eccentric solicitor Jena Pang from Southend sold off his collection of 32 of the cuddly bears, some of which were over 100 years old. With high demand for the famous German marque the collection was expected to sell well but, despite the enormous values, Jena said he was more concerned that his family of bears found a loving home. A total of 95 bears, including 32 made by Steiff, were sold by Special Auction Services in Newbury for collector Jena. The bears sold for a total of GBP 95,827, with one of fetching GBP 8,260. Jena has amassed his collection over the course of 12 years but decided to sell it ahead of a move to Hong Kong.
