Southern Africa: THESE STUNNING images of star trails from scenic Southern Africa are mind-boggling and bewitching at the same time.Images captured in Cederberg, South Africa and Namibia show a whirlpool of stars over the stunning backdrop of this incredible landscape.One star trail image took around 400 individual shots over six-to-seven hours then stitched together to complete, resulting in a surrealist, almost other-worldly picture.A star trail photo is a long-exposure image that shows the apparent motion of the stars across the night sky, producing a pattern of light trails stretching across the image.
