Getting closer. Nambia: THESE STUNNING images show a photographer getting up close and personal with a pair of young white rhinos. One image shows the photographer only 12 feet away from one of the rhinos, which looked to be approximately four years old, taking detailed photos of these stunning animals. There are 16,000 white rhino in the wild, they can grow to be 13 feet in length and weigh in excess of 5,100 pounds. These images were taken by civil servant and photographer Benedikt (36) in Nambia, using a Canon EOS 80D camera. “We actually planned to go hiking through the bush with a focus on plants that were growing in this area. We accidentally joined a rhino walk,” said Benedikt. “Hiking through the bushes we were walking in line and when we found some rhinos we had to wait first and observe them. The bull was slowly approaching my position grazing on the vegetation. “It was breathtaking and thrilling. One of the best experiences during this vacation and in general. “I felt zero fear but the rush of adrenalin was amazing.” mediadrumimages/benne.on.tour
