VOLE-Y BALL! An egret looks as though it is holding a furry volleyball at the end of its beak. The great egret was seen tossing a vole into the air while hunting in grassland in Milpitas, California, USA.
Johnson Huang, 76 said, ÒThere are a lot of voles here, this kind of egret usually prefers to eat fish, however, due to the area voles were on the menu.Ó
ÒThe voles were hiding in the holes, so the egret caught the vole from the hole and tossed it in the air. The vole seems to have a very shocked expression.Ó

Can you describe what is happening in these images? The vole looks very shocked as itÕs dropped would you agree?
There are a lot of voles there, this kind of egret likes to eat fish, then vole if no fish, I was waiting there to catch these moments, the voles were hiding in the holes, so the egret caught the vole from the hole, you are right, the vole was shocking
Can you give us an insight into the moments leading up to this as well as directly after?
I found out the egret was just waiting for something, so I expected something should happened. After the egret had the meal of vole, it flew away.
How were you able to capture these images?
There are lot of rain recently in my area, I expected to see something happen, then I went every day for a week, eventually I caught them.
Is there any more information you would like us to include?
I hope they can be published as many medias as possible, because these are rare moments, I have seen lot of this kind of photo with dead vole but this is the first time I caught this moment with beautiful cult vole
