Algerian artist Rachid Koraichi (R) is pictured at the "Jardin d'Afrique", or Garden of Africa in French, a cemetery in southern Tunisia for migrants who drowned crossing the Mediterranean in the hope of a better life in Europe, on June 1, 2021 in the southern Tunisian port of Zarzis, near the Libyan border. - These migrants, many of whom drowned after boarding flimsy and overloaded boats in Libya while facing extortion from "gangsters and terrorists", deserve a dignified resting place, said Koraichi, an artist and member of an order of Sufi Islam who created the cemetery, adding "I wanted to give them a first taste of paradise".
