A six-day-old giraffe named baby X nibbles on his enclosure perimeter fence at the Krugersdorp, South Africa Game Reserve, near Johannesburg Friday, Nov. 8, 2013. Baby X was born prematurely on an outcrop of rocks and suffered injuries to itself with the mother giraffe unable to mother the infant. Fearing attack by predators Baby X was removed and taken into extensive care by staff and veterinarians and is making good progress. A competition will be held to name the new born.
