An un-crafty fox caused quite the stir after falling through a caf?? ceiling and triggering the alarm which called in the police! RSPCA inspector Phil Norman, who went to collect the frightened fox, said: ??sThe fox fell through the ceiling after the caf?? had closed and set off the alarm. ??sPolice were alerted after the alarm triggered concerns an intruder may have broken in and a keyholder for the property contacted the caf?? owner who went to investigate and found the rather confused fox standing on the worktop in the kitchen, above the fridges. ??sShe was able to confine the fox in the back of the shop and contacted us for help. I went along to collect the not-so-wiley fox and checked him over. Thankfully he wasn???t injured so I took him to a quiet area nearby and released him back into the wild.??? The caf?? owner called in the RSPCA at 5.20pm on Wednesday (22 December) after the fox fell approximately 12ft from the suspended ceiling. Phil went to the business, in Norwood Road, London, due to concerns the fox had been injured in the fall and could have been suffering from shock. ??sAccording to the caf?? owner, this is the second time a fox has fallen through their ceiling,??? Phil added. ??sI???ve heard of it raining cats and dogs, but I???ve never heard of it raining foxes??S inside! Maybe he just wanted a cup of tea and a mince pie!???
