*MANDATORY BYLINE Gavin O'Neill/Splash* The sought-after Brazilian model, who recently became an official part of the famous Angels crew with Victoria's Secret, has definitely made her mark and looks stunning on the cover of this month's GQ magazine in South Africa. She spoke about her Brazilian heritage, her love of travel and her unusual start in the modellling world as she posed for a sensual shoot in beaches and waterfalls. Lais was a small town mother-of-one in her late teens when a friend persuaded her to try her hand at the industry. But she had a difficult start because she was tall and thin, and in her small town fashion shows and advertisers looked for curvier women. She told the magazine, "I didn't think of myself as a pretty girl then... so for me it was a process of understanding that I had a kind of beauty possible for this market."
