The Weeknd was arrested in Las Vegas for allegedly hitting a police officer. The Canadian R&B singer, whose real name is Abel Tesfaye, was arrested at a Las Vegas Strip hotel on suspicion of misdemeanor battery of a protected person on January 10, 2014. He was taken to the Clark County Detention Center and later released. A spokeswoman for the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department said police were trying to break up a fight on one of the floors when Tesfaye hit an officer on the side of the head with a closed fist. The Weeknd is featured on Ariana Grande's 'Love Me Harder' single. Pictured: The Weeknd
