TO GO WITH AFP STORY (FILES) A file picture taken between 1943 and 1944 of German Marshal Erwin Rommel (R) inspecting the 'Atlantic wall' in France, built to repel the landing of British and American forces during World War II. Dubbed the "Desert Fox" for tactical victories in North Africa, Germany's greatest general was in charge of resisting the allied invasion. But by the time of D-Day he had already concluded Germany was destined for defeat. The ceremonies to celebrate the 70th anniversary of the landing in June 2014 are to be attended by an A-list of international leaders. AFP PHOTO
