New York Yankees catcher Bill Dickey chases down a foul tip for the photographer during spring training at St. Petersburg, Fla., March 20, 1935. Dickey set a major league record catching 100 or more games in 13 straight seasons, and he never played a game at another position. Known as both a slugger and an outstanding defensive catcher, Dickey's 1936 batting average of .362 set the record for catchers, a record Dickey eventually shared with Mike Piazza. He averaged .313 over his 17 year career, all with the Yankees. In 1954 he was elected into the Hall of Fame. (AP Photo)
