Subsistence homesteads aim at a combination of part-time industrial employment with part-time agriculture, as well as a combination living. In other words, people in the low income brackets, employed in the city, will be helped its acquire suburban or country homesteads where they can, on an acre or two of land, gain a certain amount of economic security by raising part of their food apply.
