On the Streets of Pozzallo Kebbi and Mustapha on a square of Pozzallo. Kebbi (18) (red shirt) is a Gambian boy coming from a large family, where he is the youngest of eight brothers. In his country has always worked as a tailor to help his father and his brothers in the family business. Tired of this work, which did not allowed him the independence, he escaped without informing the family. Just arrived in Libya, after a hard and dangerous journey, warned by telephone the father of his trip to Italy. His experience in Libya has been very hard. Kebbi stayed there for eleven months, and was arrested by the police for entered illegally in Libya, and so spent three months in prison. Thanks to a dear friend of his own village, that has paid the ransom, was released from prison. To pay the debt and the trip to Sicily, he had to work for several months as a bricklayer. The sea journey to Italy was very risky. After leaving the port of Zuwara with a rubber dinghy containing over a hundred people, has sailed for more than three days. The food was finished after a day and to drink you had to drink water from the sea, leading to severe stomach pain. During the trip they embarked so much water due to the excessive number of people on the boat. He lived moments of panic because the water was starting to get into the dinghy. The only thing they could do was to try to get it out with hands. After sending a series of SOS in the dead of night, the Italian navy has sent an helicopter and, even though they had tried to get noticed by the light of a torch, the helicopter failed to notice them. Their fortune was to cross the early hours of a Dutch cargo ship that has helped them and made climb on board. Now that Kebbi is in Sicily, he thinks that ".. only God knows my future ...".
