Pictured: The owl eyeing up the single termite in it's beak. A spotted eagle owl stands on one leg with a termite it has just caught in its beak. The juvenile owls were catching and eating different insects to discover which ones are tasty and which ones are not. The photos were taken by wildlife photographer Hannes Lochner at the Kgalagadi Transfrontier Park in the Kalahari Desert region of Botswana and South Africa. SEE OUR COPY FOR DETAILS.
