Eden's family has raised more than L400k to help get her the treatment she needs. HOLMFIRTH, UK: THIS FAMILY has shared how they have raised more than L400k for the treatment of their seven-year-old's rare cancer. Eden Smith (7) from Holmfirth, UK, was diagnosed with neuroblastoma in April 2021 after some seemingly innocuous pains in her legs. Neuroblastoma is a rare form of childhood cancer which affects fewer than 100 children in the UK each year and has a 40-50% long-term survival rate. Determined to help their daughter in any way they could, dad Lee (47) and mum Jen (47) started raising money for cancer charities, and after reading about a trial vaccine that could improve Eden's chances, threw themselves into building a fund for her. mediadrumimages/Lee Smith
