Catterick court martial: Fusilier Patrick Lydon (25) of the Northumberland Fusiliers appeared before a Catterick Court Martial yesterday on a charge of Cowardice in Korea before he was captured. He said that he was sick and paralysed, but was not frightened. He said that he wanted to go on fighting, but could not because he was helpless. Although it had been suggested that the charge might be waived because of his captivity - Lydon had asked for the Court Martial to ??sclear his name???. The incidents happened at the famous??? Battle of the Hinge??? in which men of the King?'s Own Scottish Borderers, out numbered 20 to one, held-an attacking Division in November 1951.
