A photo taken on November 4, 2020 and handout on September 24, 2021 by the Opera di Santa Maria del Fiore museum in Florence shows undergoing restoration work of Michelangelo's 16th Century's masterpiece "Pieta", known as Pieta Bandini. - The artwork, which was carved in a huge block of marble coming from the Medici quarries of Seravezza between approximately 1547 and 1555, has been undergoing restoration since November 2019, which resumed after a break due to Covid-19, and has been now completed. Between September 25, 2021 to 30 March 2022, the Opera di Santa Maria del Fiore has decided to leave the building site to allow the public, with guided tours, to see the restored Pieta up close and in a unique way.
