Pictured: The rare sighting of the owl in Scotland. A rare snowy owl which has not been seen in the UK for eight years has been captured on camera by a lucky photographer. In the past few weeks, there have been the first recorded sightings since 2013 of snowy owls in the UK. The birds do not normally visit Britain as they live further north in Artic areas. The last known pair of snowy owls to nest in Britain was in 1975 on the remote island of Fetlar in the Shetland Isles, north of Scotland. SEE OUR COPY FOR DETAILS.
