A Syrian artisan hailing from the eastern Ghouta region on the outskirts of Damascus processes apricot juice into a thick paste to make dried strips, which in turn would be dissolved to make "Qamar al-Din", a drink their region is famous for, in Binnish in Syria's rebel-held northwestern province of Idlib, on July 30, 2021. - The packaged product is slated for export most of the year, except during the Muslim month of Ramadan where it is considered a staple of Iftar tables.
