UK: A pair of piercing blue eyes looks out from behind a blade of grass as a damselfly plays a game of peek-a-boo. With the two prominent eyes either side of the stem the damselfly fails in its attempt to stay allusive. Dean Bryant, 51, a Logistics Operative of Oving near Chichester, West Sussex spotted the damselfly in park close to his home. He said, "It's an idea and image I've wanted to take for a few years now. Unfortunately I can't afford a Macro lens as I'm on a tight budget so I use a Cheap 50mm lens and a set of extension tubes I paid about ?L15 for and I use the cheapest off camera flash I could get." "I've been taking Macro insect pictures for a few months now and recently noticed Damselflies in the area so I decided to get up early hoping to see some before they got too active and found one almost straight away and my initial thoughts were, Please don't move Please don't move!!" "With the lens combination I'm using I have to get just a few centimeters from my subject. Luckily with it being early it didn't move straight away and I managed to get about 6 pictures before it finally flew away. I then went home with great excitement hoping I had at least one in focus picture."
