The show-stopping green wall, installed on Dukes Court's central core, is believed to be the tallest of its kind in the UK outside of London, according to Woking Borough Council. Created by ANS Global, international provider of living walls, tiny seedlings were cultivated externally and then transplanted to their permanent home in individual modules. The large variety of plants, grown in natural soil, have plenty of space to let their leaves down and will flourish around the entire module over the course of time. It will enhance the area, improving aesthetics and air quality by trapping pollutants, as well as providing a home for nature, with insect and bird houses tucked away in the foliage. Standing at 40m tall, the wall is part of the ongoing redevelopment works at Dukes Court, which will transform the area to the east of Woking town centre.
