EXCLUSIVE: The last photos of Prince Philip and one of his closest friends and confidantes, Penny Brabourne, Countess Mountbatten of Burma, have been revealed. The Countess, 67, was a regular visitor at Wood Farm, the cottage on the edge of the Sandringham Estate in Norfolk where the Prince spent much of his time after retiring from public life in August 2017. The pictures show The Countess driving Prince Philip on the Sandringham Estate on January 13 last year, the day of the Sandringham Summit when Prince Harry, Prince William and Prince Charles met with the Queen to discuss ??sMegxit.??? The pair were then seen driving away from Sandringham House on January 31 last year, with the Countess once again in the driving seat. Prince Philip and the Countess were friends for decades and he taught her carriage-driving in 1994, with her becoming his regular companion in the sport. The Countess is married to Norton Knatchbull, 3rd Earl Mountbatten of Burma, who is a close friend of Prince Charles.
