HIGHLAND, UTAH, USA: THIS WOMAN says men ghosted her because of the third degree burns she was left with after being dropped in a bath of BOILING water as a baby - but she's since become a beauty queen. Certified medical assistant Danielle Nielson (30) from Highland, Utah, USA, was adopted into a huge family becoming one of 15 siblings. With the house so busy, it fell upon Danielle?s older brother Michael (42) who was 12 at the time to give then 13-month-old Danielle her evening bath. On Christmas Eve 1991, Michael told Danielle?s two older sisters Natasha (34) and Samantha (34), to take their younger sister upstairs to the bathroom and wait for him there. However, getting impatient, the two four-year-old sisters decided to put Danielle into the bath themselves ? dropping her into near-boiling water. Danielle immediately went into shock and was unable to scream as a result. Within minutes, her skin started to melt and Danielle?s sisters finally alerted her father who quickly pulled her out of the water. Immediately rushed to hospital in an ambulance, doctors did not expect Danielle to survive the first night, but miraculously she did. However, the severity of her burns meant that her right foot and left little finger had to be amputated because the blood supply to them had been cut off. Danielle spent the next four months in hospital, undergoing dozens of skin graft operations, whilst battling constant infections. Against all odds, Danielle survived and returned home in April 1991, fitted with a new prosthetic leg. Despite Danielle?s mother being told that she wouldn?t walk for at least two years if at all, Danielle was miraculously up and walking just two weeks later. However, Danielle struggled both physically and emotionally from her childhood trauma. The damage to Danielle?s muscles and joints meant that her knee was weak and would dislocate as often as two times per month. Danielle developed anxiety
