Dee Hulm, 41, from Dorset, started hiding chocolate from her two sons, aged 10 and 12, during lockdown, choosing a spot that she knew they would never think to look in: her tampon box. The mum revealed her cunning method on Facebook, which has led to a string of confessions from other parents sharing their own secret hiding spots. People have admitted to hiding their sweet stash in cleaning cupboards, a vegetable drawer, the laundry basket and even inside a bag of peas in the freezer. ??sI was hiding in the loo enjoying a Wispa bar when my delightful boys started banging on the door for my attention,??? Dee, who works as a carer, told Jam Press. ??sI hid the half-eaten Wispa in the tampon box in the spur of the moment and have been doing it ever since. ??sThe sanitary pad pack came into play when I had a four-pack of Wispas to hide and the tampon box was too small.??? Dee shared her hilarious plan on Facebook, where she said lockdown had made her ??seven more deceptive??? than usual and resulted in her 'using' the bathroom more than ever. The post attracted hundreds of comments from people calling the tampon box move ??sgenius???. One person, sharing their own hiding spot, confessed: ??sI keep a treat bag in the cupboard with the pet food." ??sI hide my chocolates in the vegetable drawer of my fridge because nobody ever goes in there,??? another person said. Someone else added: ??sI put biscuits in the bottom of the laundry basket as no one except for me goes near it, and crisps in the boots of the car.??? One person even said they kept their treats in a bag next to bins and dirty washing as no one else in the house would go there. ??sI do this ??" and the washing tablets, the empty box contains chocolates,??? one person said. ??sAlso if you want ???me time???, stash a bottle of wine in the laundry basket with chocolate and a book, run the shower on slow and relax on the floor snuggled on towels with wine and chocolate.??? Another person who uses the same trick as Dee said her partner has an ??sissue??? as she buys more tampons without using the box already on the shelf. ??sI???ve been storing my Ferrero Rocher in my lady drawer for months,??? another woman added. Someone else wrote: ??sI used to keep mine in an old cereal box behind all their favourite cereals until my biggest found it but this is a good idea.??? Yet another person revealed they hide their snacks in the pocket of an apron. One parent had a more innocent reason for hiding her snacks, however: ??sMy daughter is two and dairy-free, so I go in the bathroom, turn the shower on to hide the rustle and eat snacks. ??sIt???s not that I don???t want to share ??"
