I spent the summer trying out different kinds of bread, it is incredibly exciting to see how the bread behaves, says the artist Louise Waite, 32. It was when Louise was studying art in Brighton that she began to think about bread as a material. Since then, bread and dough have been recurring materials in Louise's work. For the tower, Louise has used 320 packages with 367 slices of bread in each, a total of almost 12,000 slices. The artwork is about half a meter high and has a circumference of five meters. After the exhibition, the tower will be demolished. Toast Tower at Wanas art gallery, Sweden - 16 Oct 2020
