Victor Pobedinsky/UPG/REPORTER Valentina Skopitskaya, a woman of 77, decorates the tree by lilacs and balloons. The tree symbolizes the non-existent grave of her father, the teacher Ivan Slaboshpitsky, who was shot here, in Bykovyansky forest, 42 years ago (Sunday, May 16, 1999). The thousands of people were executed on this place from the 1937 till the 1939 at the times of cult of personality. Valentina Skopitskaya and the other members of the 'Memorial' organization every year come here to stand in honour of memory of the victims of Stalin repression.
