A parakeet swoops in and grabs a lizard by its tail as part of an hour-long attack. The pictures of the colourful parakeet biting a monitor lizard were taken by Jira Punjabi.
The wildlife photographer was able to watch several birds 'attacking' lizards for about an hour in Keoladeo National Park in Bharatpur, India. The 60-year-old said that a pair of parakeets had attacked the lizard because they tend to feed on the bird eggs. SEE OUR COPY FOR DETAILS.
