These two to three week old owlets from the same nest were spotted on consecutive days in early April, but catching them awake took patience. After a few quiet hours beneath the tree, the tiny birds would slowly stir, sometimes prompted by a passing dog or nearby footsteps. Far from shy, the owlets seemed more intrigued than anything else, wide eyed and curious about the figure standing below with a camera.
